Tubby Tabby is a plump, happy cat. His home is a farm in North Carolina where he has lived with his grandparents for as long as he can remember. He spends his days helping Pappy Sage and Granny Creamsicle Tabby on the farm.

Tubby helps Pappy Sage milk the cows and feed the pigs. Each year in the fall, he helps harvest apples from the orchard. Sometimes, he gets very tired and takes a nap in the apple tree. He always hopes Pappy Sage doesn’t catch him napping . . . so far he hasn’t.

Granny Creamsicle takes care of the chickens and the vegetable garden. Tubby likes to help her gather eggs and vegetables. He won’t go to the chicken house alone because the Red Rooster always chases him. That is one bad rooster, so Tubby only gathers eggs with Granny Creamsicle.

Life is good for Tubby Tabby. Each day he can be found on the farm, a straw hat on his head, a blue scarf around his neck, wearing bib overalls, and a smile on his face. Yes, life is simple and good for Tubby Tabby.
